MX Xpress™ Applications
Rack-to-rack links
MX Xpress™ is designed to connect all areas within data centres, small and large corporate LANs, and telecommunication exchanges.
The cassette-to-cassette links are used in rack-to-rack links via distribution areas, or between distribution areas with additional cross connects.
Applications
- 10G, 25G, 50G SR LR
- 40G SR1.2, IR4, LR4, ER4
- 100G SR1.2, LR4, ER4, DR1, FR1, LR1
- 200G FR4, LR4
- 400G FR4, LR4, FR8, LR8
Duplex (Base-12) fibre infrastructure
Current transceiver technology for transmission over single fibre pairs (duplex networking) has now expanded from simple SR and LR 10G to include data rates up to 800G. Excluding bi-directional, all these data rates follow the same networking rules. One Tx and one Rx working together.
Straightforward channel management
Pre-connected cassettes mean polarity and fibre polarity is maintained. Cassettes present LC duplex ports for use with polarity A-B duplex patch cables.
Maximise rack space
Designed to reduce rack space and maximise connectivity options
The MX connectivity hubs allow you to house different fibre types, and even copper links in the same panel.
MX Xpress™ modular cassettes for singlemode and multimode fibre presenting LC ports can be housed in the same panel alongside MTP® (MPO) fibre links.

Rack to rack via distribution area
Incorporating a distribution area with duplex cross connects is straightforward using standard A-B LC duplex patch cords as the cross connects within the patching area and ensures the polarity is maintained.

Between distribution areas
Incorporating a second distribution area with additional cross connects is also straightforward. Use additional MTP®-LC cassettes, MTP® (MPO) trunks and LC duplex patch cords as the cross connects within the patching area. Maintain consistency by using A-B LC duplex patch cables at all points.
