Breakout or aggregate 40G to 10G, 100G to 25G, or 400G to 100G
MTP® (MPO) to LC 24 fibre Base-8 singlemode OS2 (9/125) cassettes break out or aggregate 40G to 10G, 100G to 25G, or 400G to 100G between data cabinets to edge devices, servers and into equipment racks.
With 3 x MTP® (MPO) ports on the rear of the cassette and 12 x LC duplex ports presented on the front, the PSM4/PLR4/DR4 cassette enables 40G/100G/400G (QSFP+/QSFP28/QSFP-DD) PSM4/PLR4/DR4 trunks or patch cables to be connected to 10G/25G/100G (SFP+/SFP28/QSFP) LC duplex ports.

PSM4/PLR4/DR4 MTP® (MPO) to LR/DR LC duplex
These cassettes provide 12 x duplex channels of 10G, 25G or 100G, and pre-configured and clear duplex fibre mapping and polarity.
While there are several breakout/aggregation options, PSM4/PLR4/DR4 cassettes have the benefit of being rack mounted and panel based which means no loose duplex tails or need for custom breakout cables with different length tails. Instead, you can use standard LC duplex patch cables.
33% more capacity compared to conventional 24 fibre cassettes
The design of these cassette modules offers a significantly better use of available fibres in MTP® (MPO) trunk and patch cables. With these MTP® (MPO) to LC 24 fibre PSM4/PLR4/DR4 cassettes it is possible to connect 3 x 40G, 100G, or 400G ports to up to 12 x LC duplex 10G, 25G, or 100G ports.
In contrast, conventional 24 fibre cassettes with only 2 x MTP® (MPO) ports at the rear can only connect to two ports or transceivers, meaning a possible connection to only 8 x LC ports, a 33% difference.
We understand the importance of having a supply partner you can trust to deliver a quality, high performance solution to connect your network. All our MTP cables and components come with a no nonsense 25 year individual product warranty for complete assurance.

CREATE A 40G, 100G, OR 400G NETWORK
Breakout to SFP+, SFP28 or QSFP ports
The cassette rear connects to 40G/100G/400G ports via MTP® (MPO) patch cables or trunks and the front of the cassette is patched (LC duplex patch cords) to a number of servers. Servers can be located in the same rack or neighbouring racks using varying length patch cords.
Complete Connects M400 Series cassette modules are designed for use across all areas of today’s data centres and within enterprise networks. As 40G, 100G and 400G ports within switches (40G-BASE-PLR4, 100G-BASE-PSM4, 400G-BASE-DR4) are an integral part of most networks, there is a growing requirement to be able to connect these to 10/25G switches and servers.
CONNECT DATA CABINETS TO EDGE DEVICES
Often a number of servers are located in the same rack and so presentation of multiple 10G/25G/100G ports within top-of-rack panels is required. M400 cassettes primarily have two functions. They enable 40G/100G/400G PSM4/PLR4/DR4 trunks to be connected to existing 10G/25G/100G ports or they enable a QSFP+, QSFP28, QSFP-DD port to be broken out into SFP+, SFP28 or QSFP ports.

EASY INSTALLATION
LC presentation within 19” racks
MX Series cassettes can be housed in either the M Series 1U or 2U housing panels and are locked into place with a simple latching mechanism. This negates the need for any tooling or specialist fibre installation skills. The M400 cassettes can then be connected to the network using M400 Series trunk cables and patch cords. The M400 Series modular cassette’s unique design enables both front and rear cassette installation.
