QSFP+ 40G ESR4 TRANSCEIVERS

eSR4 Transmission up to 400m

Extended short range over multimode (50/125) fibre

The QSFP+ 40G eSR4 transceiver is a pluggable, 4-channel optical transceiver mainly used for short range data communications to meet the demands of enterprise networks and data centres. These transceivers have a transmission distance of 400m over multimode OM3 and OM4 (50/125) fibre at an optical wavelength of 850nm. Using an MPO (MTP) interface, this optical transceiver is perfectly suited for applications where you want to split your 40G signal out to 4 X 10Gbps channels or aggregate them back up into 40G.

40GBASE-ESR4 transmission

QSFP+ 40G eSR4 transceivers have the ability to split into four multimode fibre cables using LC duplex connectors and provide 40Gbps optical Ethernet connectivity for up to 300 meters using OM3 and 400 meters using OM4 fibre cables.

Vendor/OEM compatibility

This short-range transceiver can be programmed to be compatible with all major switch and server brands, such as Arista, Cisco, HP, Dell and Juniper (see full list of options above). Complete Connect transceiver modules have a 5-year warranty and a 90-day guarantee to test transceiver compatibility.

Having the correct compatibility coding programmed on to your 3rd party optical transceiver will ensure that networking equipment that it is being used in will recognise the optic as an authorised and reputable product. Failure to ensure the correct code is loaded can result in continual non-approved hardware alarms being raised via the console or syslog messages or the optic not being authorised to work with the equipment.

All our optical transceivers are programmed and tested with a special compatibility code that is known as a vendor compatibility EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory).
